Christ Tabernacle Evangelical Church

In this project for a Church, which was designed on top of a slope of land more than 10m high, and so as not to have exorbitant expenses with the work removing this embankment and structuring everything, we took advantage to create this project.

 

On the ground floor we leave the Church's parking lot and through a ramp, we climb a 4m ceiling to the platform where the church will actually be located. The hall was requested to accommodate an average of 100 people to attend the service, in addition to having a stage with a pulpit that could accommodate 10 more people. Continuing with the rest of the project, we developed a multipurpose room, being the pastor's room and also a waiting room for church guests who will give lectures and even confessional services.

 

It also has a kitchen and bathrooms to serve the public on worship days and parties. To make this already large work, a little cheaper, the intention is to work with sustainable materials having on its facade, decorated with wooden boards, treated and varnished and textured, we wanted a project that was more contemporary and visually cleaner. Inside, to work on the hall's acoustics, we used wool fabric on the walls that helps reduce sound by better absorbing the sound that bounces off it.

 

We also created a recess with a large space in height and on the roof, we used a light color with a waterproofed slab, to help with the thermal comfort of the room.

 

Everything was designed to not only have less impact on the environment, but also to not generate a large expense in construction and future maintenance.
